The High
Speed
The High Speed (HV) Program is designed for secondary students who demonstrate great autonomy, keen intellectual curiosity, and a desire to go further in their learning. This distinctive pathway allows them to enrich their academic education through stimulating challenges, in-depth projects, and pedagogical support adapted to their pace.

The HV program aims to:
- develop autonomy, rigour, and critical thinking;
- offer enriched activities that go beyond the regular program;
- encourage interdisciplinary exploration and research projects.
HV Streams
The High Speed program is divided into four streams. Students in the first cycle will explore all these streams during their first two years of secondary school:
Eco-Citizen
This stream allows students to reflect on their role in society and to actively engage in projects related to the environment, social justice, and community life. Young people develop their sense of initiative and responsibility through concrete actions aimed at improving their living environment and exercising a positive influence.
Sample activities: spring market, hiking, community garden

Créa-Comm
Designed for creative minds, this stream focuses on artistic expression and communication in all its forms. Whether through journalism, graphic design, or editing, students develop their voice, aesthetic sense, and ability to convey ideas with impact.
Sample activities: visit to Radio-Canada studios, student newspaper, editing workshop

Génie-Techno
This stream explores science, logic, innovation, and problem-solving. Students are challenged to design, analyze, and experiment through projects that leverage technology, ingenuity, and critical thinking. Perfect for future engineers, programmers, or researchers.
Sample activities: robotics workshop, visit to the Science Centre

Explo-Monde
Open to the international scene, this stream invites students to explore the world's cultural, linguistic, and geographic diversity. Through interdisciplinary projects, research, and sometimes exchanges or conferences, young people develop their curiosity, analytical skills, and understanding of global issues.
Sample activities: cooking workshop, introduction to a new language

Program structure
High Speed periods will take place during regular class hours.
Selection process for the program
During the month of September, the CSJV team will conduct an initial selection from all admitted students' files for the upcoming school year.
Parents of selected students will receive an email inviting them to express their interest through an online form. Subsequently, parents of students will receive an invitation to participate in online placement activities.
Responses
A confirmation email will be sent to parents of all students participating in these activities, whether they are selected for the program or not. Please note that all students accepted into the High Speed program must also be placed in enriched English to participate in the program.
