At Collège St-Jean-Vianney, technology is a pedagogical tool in service of student growth. Our team ensures that every student has functional and secure tools to learn, create, and collaborate every day.
Technical support
Because a technical glitch should never hinder learning, we offer on-site support for mobile devices (iPad and Chromebook).
Quick troubleshooting service
Students can drop in without an appointment to get help with their device:
- When: Every lunch hour (school days) | 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and 1:20 to 1:50 p.m.
- Where: Room C-318.
The Chromebook era: performance and digital citizenship
Starting in the 2026-2027 school year, the Chromebook becomes the central tool of our pedagogy. This strategic choice is based on four pillars:
Training responsible digital citizens
The tool is nothing without the method. We integrate digital citizenship into the school experience:
- Integration workshops: From Secondary 1, training sessions introduce students to ethical, safe, and effective use of their Chromebook.
- Healthy management: Guidance on screen time management and privacy protection.
Audiovisual infrastructure and events
CSJV has state-of-the-art facilities to enhance teaching and cultural life:
- Interactive classrooms: All our rooms are equipped with wireless projection systems.
- Auditorium Hector-Durand: A professional performance hall where our team coordinates audiovisual for artistic projects and conferences.
- Broadcasting spaces: The Bistro and auditorium feature large screens for gatherings and student communications.
